Identity
Work rooted in the places, people and cultural references that shape who we are.
BornArab is a contemporary art house rooted in Arab culture, identity and memory.
We create art for the homes we live in today, shaped by the places, people and details that stay with us wherever we go.
Arabs can grow up in different cities, speak differently and live thousands of miles apart, yet some things feel instantly familiar.
The phrases our mothers repeat. The food on the table. A song playing in another room. The smell of a family home. The architecture of a street we remember. The jokes, habits and small details that somehow need no explanation.
BornArab came from wanting to turn those feelings into art without reducing Arab culture to clichés.
Art that feels like it came from within.
We look at Arab culture from the inside, then translate it through a contemporary visual language made for modern interiors.
Work rooted in the places, people and cultural references that shape who we are.
Familiar details, everyday moments and stories that bring a place or feeling back to life.
Contemporary artwork made to belong naturally in the homes and spaces we live in today.
A distinct part of our universe, approached with intention, respect and care.
BornArab begins with contemporary Arab art, but the ambition goes much further.
We are building a home for Arab creativity, bringing together original work from BornArab Studio, artists, collaborations and future editions from across the Arab world and its diaspora.
We are starting carefully with selected cultural universes, including Saudi Arabia, Palestine and Egypt, alongside a dedicated Islamic Art collection.
“I wanted to build the kind of art brand I wished already existed for us.”
I grew up around the same references many Arabs know instinctively, even when our families come from different parts of the Arab world.
BornArab is my attempt to give those memories, cultures and identities the visual space they deserve, without turning them into something generic or made for somebody else’s idea of us.
The goal is simple: create work we genuinely want to live with, and build a platform Arab artists and creatives can be proud to be part of.
